A BIT EXTRA is a collaborative project between faculty from the School of Architecture and the Department of Computer Science. The investigation is based on data gathered from an experiment involving a progressive set of interior perspectival images. These images are displayed with lab subjects on a screen in conjunction with eye-tracking hardware that maps eye movements within the scene. The hypothesis is that time and interest within specific parts of the scene are indicative of spatial interest, curiosity, perceive volume, and/or room indeterminacy.
